Note to Parents/Grandparents, etc.:
If you want or plan to participate in any activity on the school campus whether it be visiting, volunteering, watching a class activity or actually working with a teacher or group of students for ANY reason or event, we need to have a copy of the Adults interacting with minors form "Acknowledgement of Receipt" on file in the school office. So if you do yard duty at recess/lunch, help in the library, photograph school events for yearbook or personal reasons, work book fair, serve hot lunch, set up Bingo while school is in session, prepare for Fish Fry on Thursdays, set up Carnival, work valet drop off, read to students during class or just want to bring in goodies for your child's birthday, please make sure you complete, sign and return the form
to the school office.
Those of you who plan or want to do more at school {such as chaperone a field trip; volunteer as a substitute teacher, nurse or class aide; coach; teach/train/tudor an activity such as Spring Fling or volunteer for any activity that involves children out of the sight of their teacher; etc.} must in addition to signing this acknowledgement be Virtus {Protecting God's Children} trained
and be fingerprinted.
No one is exempt from this process, every teacher, aide, office/staff worker, enrichment program worker {Art Masters/Music Academy} has been through this process
and signed forms are on file.
We have amended a section of the dress code:
· Non-Uniform Add-On Days
Periodically, in celebration of a holiday or other spirit related event, the school may declare an “Add-On” day. Students must be in full regular uniform on Add-On days, but may “add on” items of the designated color to show their spirit. If the add-on is a T-shirt, printed specifically for the holiday, they may forgo their school polo shirt and wear only one shirt. (Shirt must not have any form of advertising or brand product). Socks of the designated color may be worn in place of regular uniform socks. All other items (jewelry, hair accessories, hats, sweaters, etc.) must be worn with the regular uniform. All other Uniform Dress Code rules will apply.
The Parent/Student Handbook is updated annually and available
for viewing by the end of August each year.
Paper copies are provided upon receipt of a written request from a
St. Bruno school family.
