Please look the calendar over and let the school office know if you do not see your name. Remember that it is your responsibility to fulfill your Bingo Commitment of 4 nights {a minimum of 20 hours}. The option for you to work 3 nights and purchase a $30 night of play was only available if you signed up on one of the "Registration Days" made available to you in May and again in June.
For those who purchased a "Buy In," Gerry Burge has a list and will verify your right to play if you decide to play over the summer.
We hope to send out certificates in September to those who haven't used their "Buy-In."
Be advised that throughout the school year we may make changes to the Bingo schedule.
The most accurate information is on the reverse of each monthly calendar sent home the last week of each month.
The Bingo calendar runs from June to May.
A complete schedule for September thru May is posted above. Families must make note of their scheduled work dates and let us know immediately if their name is not on the schedule.
There will be no Bingo scheduled on
Ash Wednesday {March 9th} and during Holy Week {April 20th}
The Bingo 2010-2011 commitment changed somewhat.
Families had a choice of: 1) Working four (4) Bingo Nights
6:00pm until closing and the Hall is cleaned
{minimum of 5 hours each night}; or
2) Working three (3) Bingo Nights
6:00pm until closing and the Hall is cleaned
{minimum of 5hrs each night}
AND Purchasing 1 night of Bingo Play
{a “Buy-in” costing approximately $30}
Buy-in must be purchased when you
do your Bingo Sign-up at registration,
it can not be purchased at a later date.
5 hrs x 4 nights = 20 hours minimum or
5 hrs x 3 nights = 15 hours minimum + Buy-in
{“Buy-in” to be used on a night you are NOT working Bingo}
Committee members will continue to
work 13 Bingo nights
{One 3½ hour Bingo night every month June through May plus 1 of the 5th weeks that occur 4 times a year}
3½ hours x 13 nights = 45.5hrs – therefore Committee members are not obligated to do their 20 PPP hour commitment.
Those who decided to JOIN "BINGO COMMITTEE" AFTER the bingo calender year has started MUST REMEMBER that they still must work the equivalent of 13 bingo nights or 40 hours to satisfy their Bingo and PPP commitment.
Bingo rules:
1) You may exchange dates with another family - but YOU are required to make those arrangements and YOU are to report it to the school office and to the Bingo Chairperson.
2) There are no make-up hours allowed unless authorized through the school office and a Bingo Chairperson.
3) A fee of $100 per hour (miss an entire night - $500) will be charged in the event you fail to work your assigned hours. BE SURE TO COMPLETE A VOUCHER and have it signed off EACH night YOU WORK.
If you work and forget to turn in a voucher you will be charged a $10 fee to compensate the school for the time the office uses to verify your participation and to send out billing notifications.
BINGO BILLING IS DONE ON A WEEKLY BASIS (With the exception of July, billing will be at the end of the month since the school is closed the month of July)
4) If you have chosen not to work your scheduled hours, the $750 buy-out fee is due by June 1st.
5) Bingo Committee members must fulfill their annual Bingo & PPP commitment by working 13 Bingo nights (a minimum of 3 1/2 hrs each) June through May.
Although not obligated to complete their 20 PPP hours, committee members must fulfill all other parent participation/ fundraising committments, such as Fish Fry, Carnival, Fall Fundraiser, Catalog Sales, etc.
NO Exceptions or exemptions.
Committee members are divided into 4 weekly groups, Week1 works the 1st Wednesday of each month, Week2 works the 2nd Wednesday, and so on...Four months each year have 5 weeks. Each of the four groups will be assigned one of these 5th weeks - Bingo will never be scheduled on Ash Wednesday or during Holy Weekl.
Our best and easiest nights are when there is a full crew of parents working.
It is a great time to get to know other parents. Only one parent per family needs to work. Unless otherwise requested, you should report for duty at 6pm. So, dress casually and have fun and remember to bring a dessert on 2 of your 4 Bingo Nights.
